New Apartment Proposal — “Monday Properties has revealed the details of new plans to redevelop two obsolete Rosslyn office buildings — one where Bob Woodward often met Deep Throat informant Mark Felt in the 1970s — replacing a previously approved commercial office tower with new apartments instead… The northernmost new building, dubbed Wilson Tower, would weigh in at 485,000 square feet, including 506 units and 12,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, according to new application filings. Vet Keeps Conducting Commitment — Arlington resident and retired U.S. Air Force Col. Arnald Gabriel fulfilled a 30+ year promise to conduct the Wheaton Municipal Band in Illinois on his 100th birthday, though he did so remotely due to health reasons. A man has been charged with first degree murder after allegedly shooting his mother to death inside an apartment in Virginia Square.

Logan Chrisinger, 27, is being held at the Arlington County jail on murder and two other charges.

APS May Lose Federal Funds — “The Department of Education said Friday it will start the process of suspending or cutting off federal funds to five Northern Virginia school districts: Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William. Arlington County police are investigating a shooting in the Arna Valley neighborhood.

Police were dispatched to an apartment on the 2500 block of S. Adams Street shortly before 9:45 p.m. for a report of a man shot in the leg. Arriving officers reported that there were several people inside the apartment, who were cooperative as police started the investigation.
