Question: Can you explain the latest news about partnerships between brokerages and websites like Redfin and Zillow for pre-market inventory?

Answer:

The fight over listings has shifted from theory to reality. Major brokerages, portals, and platforms are actively reshaping where listings appear, what data is shared, and who controls it. For buyers and sellers, the biggest risk isn’t who wins, it’s what gets lost if the market becomes fragmented.

Last year, I wrote about the battle raging in the real estate industry and the growing tension around private listings and pre-market marketing rules.

In January 2025, we told you that the Trump Administration was trying to abolish birthright citizenship by executive order. We predicted that the order would be subject to an immediate injunction, and we predicted further that the litigation would proceed, through the appellate process, to the Supreme Court, and, once there, the Trump Administration would lose 9:0.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Trump v. Barbara, in which the question of birthright citizenship was placed squarely before the Court. Clearly, this was an important case for the Trump Administration; President Trump put in a personal appearance at the Supreme Court, left in the middle of oral argument, then ‘truthed’ his view that “We are the only Country in the World STUPID enough to allow ‘Birthright’ Citizenship!” (more…)

Question: How many different real estate agents are doing business in Arlington?

Answer: There were 2,317 real estate transactions in Arlington last year, totaling $2.136B in sales volume, increases of 6% and 8.4%, respectively, over 2024.

There were 2,116 licensed real estate agents involved in at least one sale in Arlington in 2025, compared to 2,058 in 2024. Each transaction usually includes two real estate agents – one representing the buyer and another representing the seller. (more…)


Arlington’s economic momentum continues to build, with a steady stream of company relocations, expansions and ribbon cuttings signaling strong confidence in our business environment.

In recent months, a mix of cybersecurity firms, defense contractors, AI companies and startup builders have either established or expanded their presence here, drawn by Arlington’s proximity to federal decision-makers, deep talent pool and connected, walkable urban neighborhoods.

Human risk management company KnowBe4 is among the latest to plant a flag, opening an Arlington office to support its continued growth and closer engagement with federal clients. Similarly, Forterra, an autonomous systems company, has expanded into new office space, reinforcing the region’s position as a hub for defense innovation and dual-use technology. (more…)
