Restaurants coming to Arlington in 2026: Top Pot, Buffalo & Bergen and more

A New York-style deli, a hot pot place, a French-inspired cafe and other restaurants are expected to open in Arlington in 2026.

Following an eventful 2025, which saw the opening of numerous restaurants like Nettie’s Tavern in Clarendon, Scolapasta in Ballston and Bar Chinois in Crystal City, dozens of restaurants are expected to open this year.

Here’s a look at what’s coming down the pipe in Arlington and neighboring Falls Church.

Running behind schedule

Quite a few eateries were expected to open last fall, but have pushed back their timelines.

Upcoming additions include New York-style deli Buffalo & Bergen (Clarendon), Tex-Mex eatery Rocoto’s Restaurant and Bakery (Courthouse) and hot pot restaurant Top Pot in Ballston, among others.

Other notable restaurants coming soon: Takumi (Pentagon City), Scapegoat Beer Garden (Crystal City), Nash and Smashed (two locations), Saki (Courthouse), Ember Kitchen and Spirits (Pentagon City), The Angie (Virginia Square), MyHome Thai Bistro (Falls Church)

More in early 2026

One of the most anticipated additions during the first months of this year is Paris Baguette, a French-inspired cafe offering pastries, coffee and more. It is moving into a Clarendon storefront (3101 Wilson Blvd), where it will be neighbors with the recently opened Kilwins.

Falls Church also plans to welcome at least four new restaurants in the first part of the year, including the pizza restaurant Little Beast and The Cheese Cartel, a charcuterie store offering grab-and-go sandwiches and other items.

Other additions: iPanda Dumplings (Falls Church), Best Buns (Falls Church), Wood & Iron (Virginia Square), Dok Khao Thai Eatery (Falls Church)

So far, at least two restaurants have publicly announced plans to open in Arlington in the second half of 2026.

Charlottesville-based brewery Three Notch’d Brewing Company is expected to open its first Northern Virginia location in Clarendon, targeting the ground floor of the Barnes & Noble space (2800 Clarendon Blvd) at The Crossing Clarendon.

An award-winning Thai restaurant has set its sights on a second location, this time in Crystal City. Reston’s Tiki Thai is coming to the ground floor of the Reva apartment building (244 19th Court S.), and is expected to open this fall.
