The day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 64, accompanied by a northwest wind at 6-10 mph. Precipitation is 70% likely, with rainfall amounts between a tenth and a quarter of an inch and higher amounts in thunderstorms. Friday night brings a chance of showers up until 8pm, then mostly clear skies with a low around 50, and northwest wind around 9 mph. There is a 30% chance of precipitation. Acme Pie Co. re-opens in new Columbia Pike spot

Acme Pie Co. has reopened for business in a new Columbia Pike storefront, with the same pinball machines and a new breakfast menu.

The longtime pie shop recently completed the move from 2803 Columbia Pike to 2406 Columbia Pike, where the Columbia Pike Deli closed earlier this year.

New restaurant and bar ‘Rooftop Recess’ debuts today in Courthouse

Courthouse’s newest rooftop restaurant and bar is opening today (Thursday).

Rooftop Recess is soft opening at 4 p.m. at 2424 Wilson Blvd, where Arlington Rooftop Bar & Grill closed in 2023. The three-level restaurant offers contemporary American food, brunch and cocktails, with a relaxed atmosphere and garden-inspired interior.

Falls Church nightlife spot becomes Caribbean restaurant under new owner

A fixer-upper nightlife spot in Falls Church has transformed into a new Caribbean restaurant and bar under new ownership.

Ricky Bartlette took Lesly’s Restaurant Bar and Grill under his wing in January, hoping to improve its reputation. Since then, the entrepreneur, who also owns a Baltimore-based security firm, has renovated and added a Caribbean menu.

‘Wonder’ celebrity chef food hall announces new Rosslyn location

A celebrity chef-partnered food hall and delivery service plans to open in Rosslyn as part of a new D.C.-area expansion.

Wonder, which aims to make “great food more accessible” by hosting various celebrity chef-founded restaurants, recently applied for a permit to renovate “an existing restaurant” at 1771 N. Pierce Street. This is the same address as the former Rosslyn Foxtrot.
