Expect showers before 2pm, followed by possible showers and thunderstorms from 2pm to 5pm, and then showers with potential thunderstorms after 5pm. The high will be near 75 degrees with a southeast wind at 5-7 mph. An 80% chance of precipitation brings new rainfall amounts between 0.1-0.25 inches, with higher amounts in thunderstorms. Wednesday night, anticipate showers and potentially thunderstorms before 11pm, chances of showers and thunderstorms between 11pm and 2am, and a possibility of showers after 2am. The low will be around 64 degrees with a calming southeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation remains 80%, with new rainfall amounts between 0.25-0.5 inches possible. Bar Chinois to celebrate grand opening on Thursday in Crystal City

A lauded Chinese fusion restaurant and bar will celebrate a grand opening in Crystal City later this week.

Bar Chinois is set to open at 4 p.m. Thursday at 244 19th Court S.#105, on the ground floor of the Grace and Reva apartments. It will be restaurant’s second location, joining its acclaimed debut spot across the Potomac.

King Street Oyster Bar calls off plans for Pentagon City restaurant

King Street Oyster Bar has cancelled longtime plans to open a Pentagon City restaurant.

The new oyster bar was reportedly on the rocks in December when Rappaport began marketing its leased space at 480 11th Street S. to prospective tenants. Now, the deal is officially off, a Rappaport representative told ARLnow in an email.

Strength training gym ‘M2’ plans summer debut at Va. Square office building

An Arlington strength training gym hopes to open this summer on the ground floor of a new Virginia Square office building.

M2, a fitness studio by Method Fitness, has signed a lease at 3901 Fairfax Drive, joining the nine-story building’s growing tenant lineup, according to a release from developer Skanska. The acclaimed gym currently has one outpost on Langston Blvd.

Acme Pie Co. re-opens in new Columbia Pike spot

Acme Pie Co. has reopened for business in a new Columbia Pike storefront, with the same pinball machines and a new breakfast menu.

The longtime pie shop recently completed the move from 2803 Columbia Pike to 2406 Columbia Pike, where the Columbia Pike Deli closed earlier this year.
